  • Payment information when purchasing design packages (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers)

  • Device type, browser, operating system, and screen dimensions
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, and interaction events
  • Referral source, UTM parameters, and advertising identifiers (gclid, fbclid)
  • Session identifiers stored in your browser's sessionStorage (not cookies)

Information from Third Parties

  • Property data (square footage, lot size, comparable sales) from public records and data providers to generate your feasibility analysis
  • Address verification and geocoding from Google Maps APIs
  • Publicly available and licensed professional and contact information (such as name, occupation, employer, and contact details) appended from third-party data providers, used solely to understand and better serve homeowners who contact us or whose property we analyze. These providers act as our service providers; we do not sell this information.

  • To generate 3D visualizations and pre-construction documents
  • To connect you with vetted contractors and lending partners when you request it
  • To send transactional communications about your project
  • To send periodic updates about your property, your plan, and local building activity — you can stop them any time from the link in every message
  • To improve our platform through analytics and usage patterns
  • To measure advertising effectiveness and optimize campaigns
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud

4. Analytics & Advertising

We use the following analytics and advertising tools:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures site usage and campaign performance
  • Meta Pixel — measures ad performance for Facebook and Instagram campaigns
  • Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to improve usability
  • Google Ads — conversion tracking to measure advertising ROI

These technologies may collect information about your interactions with the Service, including page views, navigation patterns, click events, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referrer information, and similar data. The data collected by these technologies may be transmitted to and processed by the third-party providers listed above, in some cases on servers located outside your country of residence.

Consent through use. By accessing the Service and continuing to use it, you acknowledge and consent to the use of the tracking technologies listed above and to the collection, transmission, and processing of data described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, do not use the Service.

Optional opt-outs. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance , or the Network Advertising Initiative . You can disable Microsoft Clarity session recording for our Service through Clarity's Microsoft Privacy Statement controls. Your election to limit optional tracking does not affect your ability to use the Service.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing)
  • Contractor partners — only when you explicitly request a contractor consultation, and only the project details necessary for quoting
  • Lending partners — only when you choose to explore financing options, and only with your consent
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights

Mobile information is never shared. No mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used only by ExpandEase to contact you about your own project, and are shared with our messaging provider solely to deliver those messages on our behalf.

5a. Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number, ExpandEase may text you about the estimate or project you asked us about. These are individual messages from Kevin — not automated marketing blasts, and not a subscription to a list.

  • Message frequency varies; there is no set number of messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. Reply HELP for help, or reach us at kevin@expandeasenow.com.
  • Consenting to texts is never a condition of receiving your estimate or of any purchase.
  • Opting out of texts does not remove you from email or phone contact — those are handled separately.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Feasibility analysis data is retained to improve our cost models. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure database hosting with row-level security policies, and access controls. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third parties. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell your data)

10. Disputes Regarding Data Handling

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising under or relating to the collection, use, sharing, processing, or retention of data under this Privacy Policy is governed by the dispute-resolution provisions in Sections 13 through 21 of our Terms of Service, including the pre-dispute notice requirements, informal resolution requirements, arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, governing law, and venue.
